Lyzz picI am a third year undergraduate student majoring in Comparative Human Development. Over the past year at the lab, I have had the opportunity to work on a cross cultural project looking at the ways that 18 month olds from Chicago and rural Yucatan-Mayan communities learn from skilled actors. For my honors thesis project, I am interested in using this data to examine infants’ attentional patterns in both naturalistic and experimental settings, and how this correlates with rates of imitation within and across cultures.
