I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Infant Learning and Development lab. I investigate social-cognitive development in early childhood and how this development shows in brain and behavior.

Before joining the Infant Learning and Development lab, I studied and worked as postdoc in Europe. After graduating with a B.A. in Cognitive Science from the University of Osnabrueck, Germany in 2007, I received my M.A. degree in Cognitive Neuroscience from the Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands in 2009. I then conducted my PhD research at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour at the Radboud University Nijmegen together with Harold Bekkering and Sabine Hunnius. After finishing my PhD at the Donders Graduate School, I continued my research in the field of Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience in the BabyBRAIN Group of Sabine Hunnius at the Donders Institute in Nijmegen.

In my current research in the Infant Learning and Development lab, I address questions such as: How do we learn to act and interact in the world? Which neurocognitive processes play a role for acting and interacting successfully in our environment and how do such processes emerge in infancy?
